Desk Setup Tour: Restrained Warmth in a 9㎡ Room

Most gaming setups are all RGB and sharp angles. This 9㎡ space does the opposite—a warm walnut surface softens all the hardware, with a small sticker that says "love takes restraint." It's an L-shaped station that's still packed with serious gear (LG 42C5, ROG peripherals, AutoFull chair), but everything knows its place. 

Walnut Desk and the Dual-Screen Thing

The heart of it all is a Songneng X4 desk with that walnut finish. The LG 42C5 floats above a beesir V3 riser on a Songneng T18 dual arm, while a vertical portrait display sits to the left for extra windows. The riser hides all the cables and controllers underneath, so the actual desk surface stays clean—just a ROG Azoth keyboard, GPW3 mouse, and a gwang mat. Even with a custom PC tower nearby, the wood grain keeps things feeling warm instead of, you know, like a spaceship control room.

Light Setup for a Small Space

The lighting comes from a BenQ Halo 2 bar, a DIY desk lamp, and a floor lamp behind the AutoFull M6 Pro chair. Nothing's too bright or harsh—the whole room just glows. The BenQ controller sits right there on the riser, easy to adjust, and the warm color temperature matches the walnut instead of fighting it.

The Personal Stuff

A Xiaomi Sound 2 Max speaker, a Spider-Man figure, and a few small collectibles sit on the riser—just enough personality without clutter. The PC tower's RGB and an orange spherical speaker are basically the only color in the room; everything else is pretty muted. That kind of restraint usually only happens after someone's already overstuffed a desk once and figured out what actually matters.

The Numbers

The whole setup cost around ¥50,000, which is legit serious money, but it reads as thoughtful instead of excessive. Black Cat Sheriff's real skill here is knowing what to leave out—everything has a spot, and the walnut does most of the visual work.
