Desk Tour: A Moody Home Workstation Photographed on an Old Fuji

A rainy-weekend home workstation with a walnut standing desk, dual monitors on arms, a Benq ScreenBar Halo, and an old Fuji camera to capture it all.

It's the same desk again — changed in some ways, yet somehow exactly as it was. Photographed with an old Fuji camera on a rainy weekend, this home workstation is where its owner spends hours doing whatever feels right, happily "wasting time" with zero agenda. Let's see how it all comes together.

The Same Desk, Just Different

The heart of it all is a Senlon standing desk with a 1400mm × 700mm black walnut top — that warm grain really pops against the darkness of the room. A large GWANG desk mat spreads across most of the surface, keeping the keyboard, mouse, and a small speaker all sitting on the same layer.

Two screens float above the workspace: a Dell U2720QM and an Apple Studio Display, each on its own arm (a Songneng T7 and an Ergotron LX Pro) so there's actual breathing room on the desktop. A Benq ScreenBar Halo sits up top washing everything in soft, even light. Below that, a phone propped on a stand does double duty as both a colorful clock and, well, a phone.

Then there's the little stuff sprinkled around — a monstera in a glass vase, a glowing cylindrical lamp, some posters leaning against the wall, a walnut SkipperTech tray tucked near the right edge holding whatever needs to be there.

Evening Light and Time Passing

Shoot it from different angles, shoot it at different times, and it still feels like one coherent space. A 16-inch MacBook Pro sits nearby, a controller rests by the vertical screen, a Marshall-style speaker and turntable hang out on a nearby cabinet. Between roughly 9 and 10 PM, the phone's clock ticks from 21:37 to 21:50 — that's the kind of unhurried time this corner exists for.

The desk itself becomes the subject, naturally. The opening shot is just an old Fuji compact camera held up in front of the screens, its rear display showing the very desk behind it — an old camera, a new setup, frame inside frame.
