A closer look at the Lofree HYPACE Ghost semi-transparent mouse: frosted translucent shell, six armor plates, and a 47g weight built for long workdays.

The Lofree HYPACE Falcon semi-transparent (Ghost) mouse wins on looks first. Six translucent armor plates with a frosted matte finish give it a character most mice lack, and at roughly 47g ± 2g it barely registers in the hand. After 8-hour workdays at the computer, the lightweight design is what turns it from a pretty object into a genuinely easy mouse to live with. It even sits surprisingly well next to Apple office gear.

The Design: Frosted Transparency, Not Cheap Clarity

The first thing that lands is the transparency itself. The Ghost version's six armor plates are see-through, but not in a cheap, entirely clear way — the surface carries a frosted, misty texture. In good light it reads as soft and refined rather than dirty or gray.

The shell splits into panels with a dual-layer structure inspired by a helmet, plus a distinct streamlined silhouette. Orange side buttons cut through the pale shell for a sharp contrast. The overall effect is futuristic without shouting about it.

On a light-colored desk it almost behaves like a small decorative object. Paired with a MacBook, the frosted shell and silver metal echo each other nicely — a minimalist setup that holds together.

Featherweight in Daily Use

Here's the number that matters: about 47g ± 2g. For someone dragging a mouse around eight hours a day, that's not a trivial spec.

The difference shows up against heavier mice, which can leave the wrist feeling weighted down by the end of the day. This one feels close to holding nothing at all. Gliding across documents and browsers takes no effort, and it doesn't fall apart when the occasional game session happens either.

At this weight it also travels well — toss it in a bag next to a laptop and the portability becomes part of the appeal for anyone who works away from a fixed desk.

Based on the published specifications and reviewer feedback rather than long-term testing here, a few caveats are worth knowing. The semi-transparent PC shell isn't as grippy as a high-friction coated mouse, so sweaty hands may want grip tape. The translucent panels also show dust, fingerprints, and seam grime more readily than a solid shell, and the paneled design is less convenient to clean.

Battery capacity is 250mAh, so expect noticeably shorter runtime at the 8000Hz polling rate — official figures put that mode around 17 hours, versus roughly 80 hours at 1K wireless. Inside, the mouse uses a magnesium alloy frame under the thin PC shell, a Built-on-Frame construction that reviewers found rigid, with no creaking or shell flex under pressure. The Ghost version uses optical switches per the official listing, connects over USB-C, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth 5.4, and carries a one-year limited warranty.

In short: the HYPACE Ghost is a mouse that turns a tool into something with genuine presence on the desk. If you lean minimalist, it's worth a serious look.
